September 13 will kickoff the “Pancake Breakfast Season” This is a great way to help raise money and join in fellowship with other Brothers and the parish. Please contact Don Mayer (DMAYER5@JUNO.COM)  to sign up to help.

September 13 will be the “Over 80’s Lunch” in the PLC from 1-3 pm. Sponsored by Faith Formation, we’ve been asked to have four or five Knights to help heat and serve the meals. Brother S/K Paul Britton has agreed to lead this team.

September 14 social meeting will include a First Degree exemplification.

September 25 and 26 will be the Eucharistic Congress is Charlotte. This is a great time to share your faith and learn more about our Catholic beliefs. The 4th Degree is encouraged to serve as Honor Guard for the Procession, during the Day at various events, including the Honor Guard at the Vigil Mass on Friday.

September 28 – Business meeting.

October 3 starts our pumpkin sales. We’ll meet the truck Saturday morning at 8 to unload the pumpkins. We’ll need 10-15 Knights to help unload, and separate the pumpkins into sizes for the “Pumpkin Patch”. We’ll need help during the day on Saturday and Sunday and before and after each weekend Mass, helping to sell the pumpkins. October 4 will be the “Meet and Greet” luncheon for the newcomers to the parish. It will be in the PLC from 1-3 pm. I would like to have 4 or 5 Brothers to help assist me in speaking to the newcomers and help recruit new members to our order. Please wear your Name tags and Kof C Shirts if you have them. October 9-11 and 16-17 are set aside for LAMB.  Chris Baker needs help in making this another success.  If you can spend a few hours helping the mentally challenged by collecting donations from shoppers, get in touch with Chris (CHRISGBAKER@ALLTEL.NET)

October 17-18 will be the weekend that we hand out “Year of the Priest” Cards after all Masses. Many of you have signed up to assist in this with the girls’ teen group “Light”.  Please remember to wear your name badges.

October 24 will be the Parish Picnic.  It will also be the last weekend for pumpkin sales before Halloween. This is a great family event. There will be fun and games for the children and a fellowship for the adults. We’ll need 7-10 Knights to help cook and serve chicken and hotdogs.

October 17  we’re sponsoring a blood drive in the PLC. Clayton Brown is heading this and could use help to set up and take down. He could also use your blood donation to make this very special event successful. This is true “Charity”, giving of yourself to help save the lives of others.
